Von Miller Rejects Denver’s $114M, Denver Reportedly Halts Contract Talks

The Denver Broncos have proposed a six-year, $114.5 million deal to linebacker Von Miller that includes $39.8 guaranteed in the first two years and Miller has declined that offer. That deal is $19 million per year. I believe he is worth more than that. He is going to get 20 million a year or more whether it is with the Broncos or not, so John Elway has to make a choice sooner or later.

If people think that Von Miller is not smart for accepting this offer, here’s where you are wrong:

-Super Bowl MVP
-4× Pro Bowl (2011,2012, 2014, 2015)
-2× 1st-team All-Pro (2012,2015)
-2× 2nd-team All-Pro (2011, 2014)

There aren’t many defensive players in the NFL that are worth QB money, but he is one of them. If Ndamukong Suh can get almost $60 million guaranteed with the deal from Miami, Miller deserves more than the contract they are offering him. Outside Linebackers impact the game much more than Defensive Tackles.

We will keep you updated on further developments.
