Farage: Tory Brexiteers will “melt away”

Former UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage has said that he believes the Prime Minister will successfully push her Brexit deal through Parliament.

Farage told Sky News: “From the previous experience of this, the rebels within the Tories tend to melt away and become a relatively small number.”

“My guess is right at the moment in time is that the Customs Union-style deal that Mrs May is lining-up will get through Parliament.”

The deal that Mrs May has offered has been widely-rebuffed by supporters of both sides, with Remainers suggesting that another vote on the deal is needed, and Brexit supporters saying that the deal tethers the UK to the EU in all but name.
