Fake News Spotlight: Soy Boy Will Sommer Fake News Spotlight focuses on the most unethical personalities in contemporary news media, this week we highlight gossip journalist Will Sommer

The information war between those on the left & right side of the political spectrum has been a tactical game; even before Trumpism took America by storm despite the best efforts of the country’s liberal media elites. As mass media continue to evolve into a polarized entity, it’s figureheads continue to push the notion that they’ve been cast for the role of victim in today’s political theatre.

Progressives can cry all they want about Donald Trump leading an attack against the media but the data is hard to ignore:

Americans trust and confidence in the media’s capability to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly has dropped to it’s lowest in the history of Gallup Polling

Such shaken confidence in our media has done nothing to curtail the consistent problems that exists within media power structures; in fact they’ve gotten worst. Despite embarrassing retractions, terminations, and low ratings it seems corporate media elites will remain resilient in their dedication to smear any and everything that leans to the right.

After the Washington Post published a pathetic op-ed about how the media feels humiliated by Sarah Huckabee Sanders for bringing the tradition of stating what you’re thankful for into the White House Press Briefing; President Trump re-ignited his criticism of the declining state of today’s media power structure by once again tweeting about Fake News.

President Trump sent out a jovial rallying cry to his base about a gauntlet style contest between those on the frontier of fake news

It’s long been the time for media elites to wake up and smell the proverbial coffee when it comes to forcing their political bias into their reporting but most refuse. In fact, some have already sacrificed their career (and their sanity) to fully embed unethical reporting as the staple of their writing style.

I’ve covered different falsehoods in the media such as ones surrounding President Trump’s cabinet picks and depictions of disaster response in the wake of hurricane season, but I’ve yet to cover the sleaze balls that push these distorted narratives.

In the first of many profiles on those media figures that dedicate their platform to disingenuous narratives I’d like to inform those who aren’t aware about the sad case of D.C. Soy Boy Will Sommer.

Will Sommer is exactly what you would expect from a narcissist with feminine qualities and mannerisms. Such an identity even permeates his writing style as he’s turned his obsession with conservative writers into a gossip newsletter called Right Richter.

How the writer of a gossip newsletter dedicated to rumors, falsehoods, and /pol/ lurking was able to rise to the status of campaign editor for The Hill is a likely consequence of lowered expectations and company upward mobility being based on sleaze-factor.

In the November 17th edition of Sommer’s newsletter– ironically titled “The dumbest man in the room”, Sommer regurgitates talking points you would expect to hear from a left-wing shill during that particular time in the news-cycle as Sommer lazily calls Alabama Senatorial candidate Roy Moore a pedophile and girlishly gloats about Twitter punishments handed out to conservative personalities.

Sommer will typically go beyond a level most shills do when it comes to smearing conservatives, giving no thought to how moronic he will be perceived.  To prove this point, Sommer surpassed his usual lunacy with a lengthy criticism of The Gateway Pundit for retweeting a debunked claim made by a Twitter user regarding his wife & the WaPo Moore controversy.

Sommer is an internet dweller, so he should know that on content creating accounts R/t =/=endorsement. In fact, Twitter accounts within the media often “like” or “retweet” as a means of archiving that content or allowing the public to vet it. Sommer still chose to erroneously critique Jim Hoft’s publication for the interaction while choosing to do so with a picture of Hoft doing the “OK” sign that has become popular with young conservatives—no doubt hoping to dupe out of touch readers that still believe the hoax that the sign is an affiliated with white supremacy.

According to my previously mentioned Gallup data “Older Americans are more likely than younger Americans to say they trust the media, but trust has declined among both age groups this year. Currently, 26% of those aged 18 to 49 (down from 36% last year) and 38% of those aged 50 and older (down from 45%) say they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media.

Sommer, CNN and other liars in the media shoot for a target audience composed of folks too naive to catch such duplicitous writing and/or those who prefer to reside in a liberal echo chamber so they engage content that satisfies they’re appetite for left-wing propaganda.

Sifting through Sommer’s writings over the past year revealed that his portfolio is about as sad as the man himself. Not only does someone actually copyedit these sad newsletters but he’s engaged to the poor woman who carries the burden.

In February Sommer called his blog piece about the Gavin McInnes led fraternity Proudboys a “special report”. Being the soy boy that he is Sommer bashed the group failing to highlight anything of the positive things they culture movement does such as recently leading a blanket giveaway for veterans in Massachusetts.

Sommer’s level of sabotage at such a high level of journalism merely shows you the depths that leftists are willing to go in order to indoctrinate society into their mode of thinking.

Right wingers always seem to have fun highlighting purveyors of fake news but we must remember that there are serious implications to distorting the truth. American liberals especially those that play a role in the media still refuse to come to terms with why President Trump and his base continue to deride the media but around the world even Pope Francis recently condemned gossip journalism to Italy’s National Guild of Journalists “Spreading rumors is an example of “terrorism, of how you can kill a person with your tongue”, he said. “This is even more true for journalists because their voice can reach everyone and this is a very powerful weapon.”

In Italy, concerns have grown regarding media outlets becoming overly politically partisan and regularly used to discredit those with differing political views, sometimes reporting unsubstantiated rumors about their private lives.

Sound familiar?

Pope Francis called on media figures “to go the extra mile to seek the truth” but in America such a journey continues to be met with staunch opposition from the hypocritical left, just ask Sean Hannity who still hasn’t been able to shake the crosshairs of the regressive left since he dared bring up the mysterious homicide of DNC staffer Seth Rich and how it was being handled by the media and D.C. Metropolitan Police. Hannity didn’t go as some on the right did by outright accusing Clinton’s people of having something to do with the homicide but Hannity was labeled a tin-foil conspiracy theorist lacking morals for even questioning the narrative about what police previously deemed a robbery-homicide.

Despite this being such a touchy subject for everyone months ago leading to an attempt to send Hannity to the gulags for such a conspiracy, Donna Brazile implied that Seth Rich’s death could have been the result of a political consequence and the media didn’t attack for those claims at all.

Will Sommer has spent some time dismissing anyone who wants to see a federal inquiry into the death of Rich as conspiracy theorists. He’s even called Rich a “pro Trump” meme  in an op-ed dismissing alternative theories on the Rich investigation (is there an investigation?). Will Sommer’s claim that Rich’s job had nothing to do with his death was called into question with Brazile proclaimed that she feels responsible for his death by hiring him. Hannity was demonized for seeking the truth regarding the death of Seth Rich and Will Sommer calls Rich a “a pro-Trump meme” and no one has called for his job.
